    The berries are in!

    A flush of blue is spreading throughout the field, and we finally have enough berries to open our doors to the public.

    We will officially open this Saturday, the 12th of July!

    Blueberry jam(boree)

    I spent an afternoon with Rick learning how to make the same delicious blueberry jam that the Shepherds have been making for decades. Together we made a fresh batch, enough to fill 83 jars with fresh jam for this season.

    I plan to make another batch before the end of summer, so we’ll have plenty on hand at the farm store.

    The farm may have changed ownership since last year, but Rick and Jes Shepherd are still a strong presence. I couldn’t have prepared for the 2025 blueberry season without them. Not much else has changed at the farm, so you can look forward to the same delicious berries as last year at the same prices.

    My deepest gratitude to Rick and Jes for the generosity of their time, wisdom, and encouragement. It is an honor to care for this beautiful farm and to serve our wonderful community. I look forward to meeting all of you.
